ABOUT ME
Creative Designer . Visual Artist .
My name is Morgan Wells. I am a multifaceted, type-A artist who thrives on momentum and turns passions into businesses. Throughout my life, I have channeled that drive into everything from booking bands and managing venues to building a professional makeup and prosthetic design career.
My creative path started early in music and event promotion, working with clubs and booking major acts like Coheed and Cambria, My Chemical Romance, and Taking Back Sunday. That work naturally evolved into a makeup artistry career. After teaching myself freehand airbrushing while working at Headless Horseman in Ulster County—voted the top haunted attraction in America—I built a high-profile freelance career spanning two decades.
My resume includes work with NYC Comic Con, Marvel Comics, Coca-Cola, MTV, Fashion Week, the NYPD, and high-profile events like Heidi Klum’s Halloween parties and NYU Langone Medical moulage drills. I also discovered a talent for sculpting and mold-making, developing a quick-drying method to mass-produce custom prosthetics that I sold worldwide online for seven years.
In 2020, we settled in Montgomery, NY, where I welcomed my son just as the world shifted during the pandemic. When I tried to return to the grueling demands of makeup artistry in 2021, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, which drastically altered my physical capabilities overnight and made my previous career an unwise path to continue.
Refusing to sit still, I pivoted. Following a family suggestion, I leaned into my love for character design and seasonal decorating. Four years later, our community Halloween and Christmas displays in Montgomery have grown to nearly 10,000 followers. Completely free, all-inclusive, and open to all ages, the displays are designed to transport visitors into a magical, wonderfully weird world where they can forget their troubles and make memories with their families.
Building, Promoting, Designing, and maintaining these large-scale displays has given me extensive hands-on product knowledge, retail insight, and real-world problem-solving experience—from waterproofing electrical connections to weathering hurricanes.
Though I manage a lifelong autoimmune disease, my resilience is my strongest asset. I am always learning, expanding, and creating art that is celebrated by an entire community, and I am eager to bring that same dedication, creativity, and drive to your company.
